Washington: In a Diwali message posted days before the upcoming U.S. Presidential election, Republican candidate Donald Trump emphasized plans to reinforce U.S.-India relations and criticized current Democratic policies. In a lengthy statement shared on X, Trump reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the partnership with India, stating he values his close relationship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Trump also denounced recent incidents of violence in Bangladesh, condemning attacks on Hindus, Christians, and other minority groups. He asserted that the Biden-Harris administration has failed to address issues affecting Hindu communities globally and domestically. Trump argued that his administration would provide stronger protection for Hindu Americans against what he described as an “anti-religion agenda” driven by the radical left.

He further criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden, holding them responsible for policy failures he perceives in foreign affairs, including conflicts in Israel and Ukraine, as well as security concerns along the U.S. Southern border. Trump’s message included a promise to “Make America Strong Again” by promoting peace through strength.

Highlighting his economic policies, Trump contrasted his record with Harris’s, suggesting that her policies would impose more regulations and higher taxes on small businesses. He pledged to return to tax cuts, deregulation, and energy independence if elected, aiming to restore what he described as the “greatest economy in history.”

Closing his message, Trump extended Diwali greetings to Hindu Americans, expressing hope that the Festival of Lights symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.
